Thalarn is a monovarietal of Syrah from its own farm located in the municipality of Talarn, a small town del Pyrenees, between 850 and 1000 meters of altitude. It is the winery that produces wines at the highest altitude in Spain. The vineyards are planted on calcareous loam soils, with a low content of organic matter.
As for the production, after manual harvesting in small 10 kg boxes, the wine ferments in different materials, both in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks as well as in stone vats to obtain different nuances and great aromatic complexity. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels for 12 months.
This wine has not been clarified or filtered. We recommend decanting it to appreciate all its aromatic and taste power.
