Floors: Mainly calcareous with a predominance of clays and gravels.
In Masroig, white wine rancios are typical. The wine fills the family oak and chestnut barrels. The aging transforms the fruity wine into an evolved wine, without the addition of alcohol.
The method followed is what they call the "boot del racó».
It consists of a mother barrel, from which wine is removed to fill others. After 10 years, the wine has a balance between volume, acidity, alcohol and aromas of walnut, mint and dried fruit emerge, with hints of vanilla.
