Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a single malt whiskey distilled and matured at the Miyagikyo Distillery, the second distillery of the Japanese whiskey producer Nikka Whiskey Distilling in Sendai, located in northern Japan and built in 1969. Nikka Whiskey was founded by Masataka Taketsuru, the father del Japanese whiskey. Inspired by Scotch (or Scotch) whiskey, he decided that he would dedicate his life to whiskey production. Nikka Whiskey, who owns two distilleries: Yochi and Miyagikyo.
