More than 30 herbs and spices are used for its preparation, among which are rhubarb, myrrh, saffron, chamomile, cardamom and oregano.

These spices are macerated in wine alcohol and later mixed with the most exquisite peppermint oil to give it that characteristic freshness.

Finally, the fernet is left to mature for 12 months in Slovenian oak barrels.
