Merlet C² Citron & Cognac combines 'savoir-faire' del Merlet liquor and distiller, and plays with a classic complementarity between cognac and citrus, here lemon and lime. First, the natural infusions are made by mashing the yellow lemon zest and the whole lime puree separately. Part of these lemon infusions are distilled, then undistilled lemon infusions, lemon distillates and cognac are assembled. Cognac represents a minimum del 70% of the mix. Finally the sugar is added to obtain the final liquor.
The sugar / alcohol ratio is not too important, Merlet C² Lemon is perfect with ice as a digestive and is still an excellent aperitif when mixed with carbonated water or tonic. It is also a substitute for classic cocktails that use orange or citrus liqueurs, such as Merléritif lemon soda.
