Bowmore is the first distillery registered on the Isle of Islay, just off the west coast of Scotland. It was founded more than two centuries ago in 1779, and is one of the oldest in all of Scotland.
The Malt Whiskeys Islay are renowned for their peat smoke and Bowmore is no exception. They carefully smoke their malt in a peat oven just like their ancestors did more than 200 years ago.
This Whisky It is made from barley from the distillery itself, which has been expertly grown in the hills of Scotland.
