It is a particularly large and tasty olive, which is produced in the province of Trapani (Sicily), mainly in the triangle between Castelvetrano, Partanna and Campobello di Mazara.
It is the only product in Europe to have two PDOs for the same variety: “Valle del Belize ”for oil (DO L 273 of 08.21.04) and“ Nocellara del Belize ”for table olives (DO L. 15 of 21/01/98).
